Y. Wan et Qj. Xue, BOUNDARY LUBRICATION OF AN ALUMINUM-ALLOY BY TRIBOPOLYMERIZATION OF AMONOMER UNDER A FRETTING CONTACT CONDITION, Wear, 205(1-2), 1997, pp. 15-19
The effects of polar olefin compounds in the tribological properties o
f an aluminum alloy in sliding contact with bearing steel were investi
gated under boundary lubrication using a reciprocating wear tester. It
was shown that allyl alcohol is more effective in reducing the fricti
on and wear of the aluminum alloy than other polar olefin compounds. T
he tribochemical reaction and acting mechanism of the lubricant were a
lso investigated. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
