Abstract
A study into the effect of the strain on a tapered fibre acoustooptic filte r is presented. The centre wavelengths of the resonances are dramatically a ffected by strain: > 500 nm tunability range has been obtained for a maximu m applied strain of 1.3 x 10(-2).
