Approach for the assessment of workplaces with exposure to colophony

Colophony is a natural substance used in the manufacture of many industrial products. In terms of occupational exposure skin contact but especially in halation during soldering (flux agent) play an important role. An atmospher ic limit value is so far lacking. In the past, however, the measurement of key components was suggested. The described convention was approved by the participants (listed at the end of the article) of the meeting of European OHS institutes in 1999 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, which takes place every two years.
