Abstract
The study on the truncated-ogive-nose projectile penetration into semi-infi nite concrete targets is described in this paper, With reference to Forrest al's force model of ogive-nose projectile, semi-analytical penetration equa tions are developed by introducing a resistance constant which takes into a ccount the truncation effect of the ogive-nose projectile on penetration. T he semi-analytical model is shown to be in good correlation with limited re cently published experimental results. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All r ights reserved.
