Abstract
Thread herring sardines Opisthonema bulleri (N=34) were collected on M ay, 1993 off Sinaloa and Nayarit, Mexico. The average batch fecundity estimated was 39 893 oocytes, or 350 oocytes per gram of female wet we ight, without ovary (Relative fecundity), with average female weight o f 113.8 g and 614 oocytes for every 100 mg, oocyte mean size of the mo st advanced mode was 674.1 microns.
