Abstract
Talc-filled polypropylene (PP) composites coupled with silane-grafted polyp ropylene (PP-g-Si) were prepared. Effect of PP-g-Si on the mechanical prope rties, crystallization. and melting behavior of PP composites was investiga ted. Compared with the uncoupled composites, the mechanical properties of T alc/PP composites coupled with a small amount of PP-g-Si were increased to some extent. Meanwhile, PP-g-Si can promote crystallization rate and increa se crystallization temperature of PP in the composites. (C) 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
