Abstract
High-pressure crystallized poly (ethylene terephthalate) samples were inves
tigated with scanning electron microscopy. A novel stereo-open spherulitic
structure was observed which was a three-dimensional structure and only com
posed of crystalline region. This morphology may promote the understanding
of formation process and mechanism of polymer spherulites. (C) 2000 Elsevie
