Abstract
The life cycle of Dermanyssus gallinae has been reproduced under labor atory conditions. The different stages have been measured and photogra phed. The effectiveness of ivermectin and moxidectin has been tested : ivermectin was 5.75 times more effective than moxidectin in vitro. In vivo, the moxidectin concentrations effective against D. gallinae wer e toxic for the treated chickens.
