Grapefruit oil concentrates were prepared by vacuum distillation and analyz
ed by GC/MS. Twenty-five compounds were identified of which limonene (64-85
%) was the major constituent. The influence of the concentration process on
oxygenated compounds was also evaluated. Cold-pressed oil concentrated two
-fold, five-fold and ten-fold produced two-, four- and five-fold concentrat
ion increases in oxygenated compounds, respectively.
