The leaf oils of the following Algerian Eucalyptus species have been studie d: Eucalyptus punctata DC, E. sideroxylon Cunn., E. saligna Smith, E. clado calyx F. Muell., E. albens Mig. ex Benth., E. ovata Labill., E. leucoxylon F. Muell., E. blakelyi A. Cunn., and E, microcorys F. Muell. The oils have been analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The techniques used allowed the detection of more than 40 components in each oil. The main components were 1,8-cineole, p-cymene, benzaldehyde, beta-phellandrene and spathulenol.
