Abstract
The essential oils of three species of Thryptomene native to Queensland wer e examined. T. hexandra and T. parviflora produced oils in which 1,8-cineol e (up to 70%) and alpha-pinene (up to 16%) were the principal components. T . oligandra, from far north Queensland, produced an oil in which gamma-terp inene (32-62%) and p-cymene (25-50%) and alpha-pinene (1-20%) were the main components.
