Abstract
Wound healing in many tissue types is essentially the same as that whi ch occurs in skin. The repair processes that occur in bone, tendon, th e alimentary tract, skin grafts, and bone grafts are substantially dif ferent from cutaneous wound repair. Because surgeons frequently encoun ter these tissues, it is essential to understand how they heal.
