Abstract
Differential cross sections for charge transfer in He-4(+)-He-3(2+) collisi ons for centre-of-mass energies 0.5 less than or equal to E less than or eq ual to 13.6 keV were calculated in the perturbed states approximation using accurate potentials. The semiclassical differential cross sections were fo und to be in excellent accord with fully quantal calculations of Falcon. Go od agreement with the experiment and calculations of Krudener et al was fou nd. Total cross sections for this and isoelectronic systems were found to a gree with the simple formula of Bates and Boyd to within 5%. A similar agre ement with the approximate calculations of Tharamel et al was also found.
