J. Babcan et al., A CONTRIBUTION TO THE GEOCHEMISTRY OF BERYLLIUM - BERYLLIUM IN SYSTEMS WITH ORGANIC-COMPOUNDS, Geologica Carpathica, 47(5), 1996, pp. 323-327
Experimental work was directed towards investigation the influence of
selected organic compounds on the formation of soluble and insoluble s
ystems (bonds) of beryllium for further conclusions about the migratio
n or accumulation of beryllium in geochemical and environmental proces
ses. We found that the optimal conditions of solubility of most Be-sys
tems are in the pH interval 3-5, formation of insoluble hydrolytic Be(
OH)(2) in the interval 5-7, non-hydrolytic insoluble compounds of Be a
re formed in the pH interval 1-3. The presence of certain organic comp
ounds causes specific deviations. The obtained data are applied to dif
ferent natural and medicinal conditions.
