Intercomparison of general circulation models (GCMs) was carried out.
Tendencies of cloudiness fields evolution in the annual cycle have bee
n evaluated for the Main Geophysical Observatory (St. Petersburg), Rus
sian Hydrometeorological Center (Moscow), Institute of Numerical Mathe
matics (Moscow) and Computing Center (Moscow) GCMs in comparison with
observational data. Clouds in different layers were considered as well
as total cloudiness. Sources of differences were analyzed.
