Abstract
The Laboulbeniales are predominantly parasites of true insects (Hexapo da), infesting mostly Coleoptera. Two members of the Laboulbeniales ar e reported from South Africa for the first time; Polyandromyces coptos omalis Thaxter and Laboulbenia monoleptae Balazuc. Both fungi are illu strated and their distribution, morphology, host specificity and nutri tion are discussed.
