Coherent inelastic Mossbauer scattering (CIMS) of synchrotron radiation (SR
) at an isotope interface (plane interface between two regions differing on
ly in the concentration of the Mossbauer isotope) is investigated theoretic
ally. Main attention is paid to the CIMS component resulting from SR quanta
absorption by Mossbauer nuclei accompanied by creation or annihilation of
the phonons in sample and following recoilless reemission of Mossbauer quan
