Abstract
The Chinese species of Chlorocytus Graham are studied. Nine species are rec ognized as valid, including four species which are described as new: C, com atus, C. circumcinctus, C. undulatus and C. jaculatorius, and five species which are newly recorded from China: C. formosus (Walker), C, polichna (Wal ker), C. phalaridis Graham, C. murriensis Graham and C. spicatus (Walker). The type specimens are deposited in the Zoological Museum, Institute of Zoo logy, the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
