Phase sensitive adiabatic states for a quantum system interacting with an e
lectromagnetic field have been derived taking into account all material pha
se factors of the initial bare states. The adiabatic states so obtained sho
w a traceable phase behavior, causally depending on the initial conditions
and the relevant physical processes. Experimental appearance of the materia
