The origin and evolution of lithium-beryllium-boron is a crossing point bet
ween different astrophysical fields: optical and gamma spectroscopy, nonthe
rmal nucleosynthesis, Big Bang and stellar nucleosynthesis and finally gala
ctic evolution. We describe the production and the evolution of lithium-ber
yllium-boron from Big Bang up to now through (i) the interaction of the Sta
ndard Galactic Cosmic Rays with the interstellar medium, (ii) supernova neu
trino spallation, and (iii) a low-energy component related to supernova exp
losions in galactic superbubbles. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights
