Abstract
Focal point and conjugacy criteria for the half-linear second-order differe
ntial equation
(\y'\(p-1)sgn y')' + c(t)\y\(p-1)sgn y = 0, p > 1
are obtained using the generalized Riccati transformation. An oscillation c
riterion is given in case when the function c(t) is periodic.
