Abstract
The volume fraction and average density of aggregates were determined for a magnetic liquid based on kerosene. The density, viscosity, acoustic sound velocity, and sound absorption coefficient for the dispersion medium were d etermined, which were found to be higher than the analogous quantities for pure kerosene. Based on an analysis of acoustic spectra, the parameters of the size distribution of dispersed particles in the magnetic liquid were de termined. The temperature dependence of these parameters was examined.
