Abstract
With our DC-magnetisation studies on single crystal CeRu2, Bi-2212, polycry stalline 1 at % Fe-doped Nb and MoxRe1-x alloy samples, we show that the re cently reported "history effects" are not general to all superconductors ex hibiting "peak effect". Our studies on MoxRe1-x showed that these "history effects" do not correlate with the currently held belief that "peak effect" needs to be at fields close to H-c2(T). (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd.
