Abstract
The selective reduction of nitro group into amine using sodium hypophosphit e under microwave irradiation is described. The rapid reaction, solvent fre e conditions and selectivity over common functional groups like CN, OH, COO H, CONH2 and halogens are the distinct features of the procedure.
