Further results on generating sets for isotropic and anisotropic functionsof vectors and 2nd-order tensors

It has been proved in a previous work that irreducible generating sets for arbitrary-order tenser-valued isotropic or anisotropic functions of any fin ite number of vector and 2nd order tensor variables may be formed by a unio n of those for seven types of isotropic or anisotropic functions of three v ariables. Here we show that, for many kinds of material symmetry groups, so me and even all of the latter may further be reduced to cases of two variab les and even single variables.
