Abstract
A theoretical approach to the characterization of the transport and optical properties of organic oligomer and polymer thin films is proposed. The app roach-based on a correlated treatment of interchain interactions-is applied to two prototypical oligomeric materials, a-sexithienyl and a-a'-bisdithie no[3,2-b:2',3'-d]thiophene (see Figure).
