Abstract
Among 1,211 patients hospitalized with coronary artery disease at either a university hospital or a large suburban community hospital, 36% failed to r eceive appropriate evaluation and treatment for dyslipidemia. Younger patie nts, those admitted to a university hospital, and those undergoing a percut aneous coronary intervention were substantially more likely to receive appr opriate lipid management than other subgroups.
