Abstract
We present an algorithm for the synthesis of the light curve of a close bin ary system consisting of a red dwarf that fills its Roche lobe and a spheri cal white dwarf. The spherical component is surrounded by an elliptical acc retion disk with a complex shape, geometrically thin near the spherical sta r and geometrically thick at the edge of the disk. The model is able to des cribe the shape of the secondary minimum in the light curve of the eclipsin g variable KU Cyg, which has not been possible using other models.
