The problem of scheduling fuzzily described tasks is one that is typically
encountered in the field of organizational control, Such tasks are characte
rized by their start and end dates and by the independently specified lengt
h of times for direct execution of each task The solution of these: types o
f problems reduces to construction of a continuous distribution of tasks on
execution intervals that do not overlap the construction intervals of othe
r tasks, a discrete-continuous distribution of tasks on overlapping executi
on intervals, and a discrete distribution of intervals with preliminarily d
istributed tasks over the entire schedule period.
