Knee dislocation is a serious injury with associated vascular, neurologic, and ligamentous injuries. These injuries can lead to significant morbidity, including knee instability, stiffness, or even leg amputation. This articl e reviews historic treatment of knee dislocation and will enable the determ ination of a treatment protocol that minimizes morbidity of knee dislocatio ns and provides the patient with a stable, functional knee.
