Abstract
We consider the influence of the lattice symmetry and size of the lattice B oltzmann method on the behavior of a pure reaction diffusion system. We sho w that the effect of the dispersion relation in the diffusion coefficient c an be minimized, by tuning the fraction of rest particles and the relaxatio n parameter. For the reaction, we focus on the Selkov model and study the d ynamics of pattern formation due to the Turing Instability. For the chosen reaction parameters, however, no clear influence of the lattice symmetry is found. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
