The Late Pleistocene in the north of West Siberia was characterized by the
Zyrjanka and Sartan glaciations and three glacioeustatic transgressions. A
solution of disputable problems of the paleogeography of the Sartan glacial
sheets and their differences between the Ob' and Yenisei regions is propos
ed on the basis of a detailed stratigraphic scheme. The Late Karginian Lokh
podgort moraine in the northern Ob' region is correlated with the Angutikha
moraine in the lower reaches of the Yenisei River. These correlations subs
tantiate new paleogeographic reconstructions of the Late Karginian and Sart
an Glaciations and landscape-climatic changes in the north of West Siberia
in the late Late Pleistocene.
