Abstract
We report on a case of disseminated toxoplasmosis that occurred 39 days aft er unrelated bone marrow transplantation in a patient in good clinical and hematologic condition. The clinical course was characterized by presentatio n of septic shock and the evolution of sudden and rapidly overwhelming resp iratory failure which was unresponsive to emergency and anti-shock therapy. Disseminated toxoplasmosis was diagnosed at autopsy.
