Abstract
DRIFT Spectroscopy has been used to determine the Klason lignin and the pol yflavonoids contents of Pinus pinaster bark and of the raffinates obtained after an alkaline extraction, and also the Stiasny number of the correspond ing extracts. By means of a stepwise regression analysis a selection of the DRIFT spectra bands which allow to correlate satisfactorily the experiment al results has been made.
