Abstract
The addition of CaO on magnetic and electrical properties of Ni-Zn ferrite has been studied for the first time in this research work. CaO is new in th is field. The ionic radius of Ca2+(0.94 Angstrom) is large as compared to t hat of Ni2+ (0.68 Angstrom) and Zn2+(0.69 Angstrom). So, the main interest of this study was to investigate the properties of Ni-Zn ferrite with CaO a dditive. Various percentages of CaO were added to the Ni-Zn ferrite of comp osition Ni0.3Zn0.7Fe2O4. It was shown that CaO additive act beneficially on the densification and on improvement of electrical and magnetic properties of ferrite samples.
