H. Tanaka et al., Monte-Carlo study of Ising model ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic spin frustrated superlattice, JPN J A P 1, 39(6A), 2000, pp. 3392-3393
Conventional Monte-Carlo calculations have been carried out to simulate an
N x N x N (N = 10, 16, 20) Ising superlattice consisting of alternating lay
ers of a ferromagnet and an antiferromagnet with different exchange interac
tion strengths in the antiferromagnetic layer. With increasing strength of
the exchange interaction in antiferromagnetic layers, the ferromagnetic Cur
ie temperature is decreased and the susceptibility is increased in superlat
tices. The magnetic susceptibility of the ferromagnetic layer is at its max
imum value when the magnitudes of ferromagnetic interaction and antiferroma
gnetic interaction are equal.
