Abstract
In a Nd3+ laser rod, "less heat generation" due to intracavity beam reduces the thermal lensing power, but this phenomenon has never been considered i n previous publications dealing with resonator stability. We observed this effect in a Nd:YAG resonator specially designed to keep the beam divergence insensitive to thermal lensing, and investigated how this effect affects t he stability range of this resonator.
