Abstract
New experimental evidence for the aggregation of the near-IR bands in BaFBr :Eu2+ crystals has been demonstrated through a series of measurements on th eir emission in IR, the nonrecombination process in additively colored crys tals, and the time-resolved absorption spectra. It was found that the origi n of the bands is attributed to a cluster of F(Br-) centers.
