Abstract
A compound possessing antimicrobial activity, which is present in the ripening fruit of Persoonia linearis x pinifolia, has been identified as 4-hydroxyphenyl ydroxy-2-methylenebutanoyl]-beta-D-glucopyranoside (1), using spectroscopic techniques. Its structure was confirmed by X- ray crystallography.
