Abstract
Color removal from aqueous solutions containing humic substances by their s uccessive treatment with Praestol flocculants and aluminum sulfate as coagu lant was studied as influenced by such factors as the reagent amount, succe ssion of introduction of coagulant and flocculant, nature of Praestol flocc ulant (anionic or cationic), chemical composition and conformation of flocc ulant macromolecule, and pH.
