Abstract
Unsaturated beta-diketones-3-allylpentane-2,4-dione, 3-allyl-1,1,1-trifluor opentane-2,4-dione, and 2-allyl-1-phenylbutane-1,3-dione-were prepared by t wo independent procedures: condensation and alkylation. The compounds were characterized by elemental analysis and H-1 NMR and IR spectroscopy. The co pper, nickel, and cobalt complexes of these beta-diketones were prepared, a nd their thermal behavior was examined.
