La. Nud'Ga et al., Carboxymethylation of fungal chitin-glucan complexes and sorption characteristics of products, RUS J AP CH, 73(2), 2000, pp. 312-316
A comparative study was performed of the carboxymethylation of the chitin-g
lucan complex isolated from the mycelium of the mold fungus Aspergillus nig
er, crustacean chitin, and chitinglucan complex produced from the basidiomi
cete Fomes fomentarius. Carboxymethylated products with varied content of c
arboxy and amino groups were obtained. The sorption kinetics of Cr(III) on
the chitin-glucan derivatives at various pH values was studied.
