Abstract
An Ag/AgCl solid electrode was prepared by using urea-formaldehyde resin, K Cl powder and an Ag/AgCl wire as materials. Then using this solid electrode as internal reference electrode and using a PVC membrane containing raniti dine tetraphenylborate ion-pair complex as sensitive element, an all-solid- state ranitidine sensor was fabricated. The properties of this sensor were studied in detail. The results indicated that the sensor showed a good stab ility, and exhibited a Nernstian response in the range from 5 x 10(-4) to 1 x 10(-1) M of ranitidine with a slope of 59.7 mV per decade. Its detection limit was 2.8 x 10(-4) M. Its life-span lasted at least 6 months. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
