Abstract
The sensitivity to SO2 of the SAW gas sensor coated with triethanolamine (T EA) modified with boric acid (H3BO3) (TEA and H3BO3 were mixed with a mole ratio 3:1) has been investigated. A better stability of the modified TEA fi lm compared with that of TEA film was observed. Both the steady response De lta f and the transient response (Delta f/Delta T)(max) varied linearly wit h the concentration of SO, (0.5-8 ppm). Suitable sensitivity, fast response , good recovery, and reproducibility were found for the SAW SO2 sensor. The effect of H3BO3 on the sensitivity to SO2 of the SAW gas sensor is discuss ed.
