Abstract
The Ag- and Pt-doped SnO2 ultrafine particle films are prepared by magnetro n sputtering equipment. The transmissivity of the films are measured in alc ohol gas. The results indicate that the transmissivity of the doped films r educes with increasing gas concentration. In contrast to Ag-doped films, th e Pt-doped films show better optical gas-sensing property in a given range of gas concentration. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
