Abstract
Adenylate kinase activity originating from erythrocytes has been shown to be distinct from muscle adenylate kinase or myokinase activity, un til now considered to be identical enzyme activities. The two activiti es can be differentiated by electrophoretic fractionation, thus making it possible to quantify the erythrocyte adenylate kinase activity pre sent in serum. (C) 1997 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
