Synthesis and investigation of some reactions of N-amino-N-demethylcodeine

By modifying the methods published in the literature, the preparation of N- amino-N-demethylcodeine carrying an asymmetrically disubstituted hydrazino moiety has been carried out. Since the reactions of such compounds have not been studied, we investigated the nucleophilic character of the amino grou p hy acylarion, Michael addition and formation of hydrazone derivatives.
