Abstract
Presentation: an elderly patient presented with acute confusion and was fou nd to have nonconvulsive status epilepticus. She responded to treatment wit h anti-epileptic drugs. Outcome: this case illustrates an important, under-recognized and reversibl e cause of acute prolonged confusion.
