Abstract
Effects of high pressure on Fe2+-ascorbate-induced lipid peroxidation have been studied in liposome suspensions. Increasing hydrostatic or h elium pressure up to 14 MPa was found to stimulate malonic dialdehyde accumulation. The effect is probably associated with an increase in li pid bilayer polarity occurring under hyperbaric conditions.
