tablish nn evaluation of the quality, of life of these patients, the Lancas
hire Quality of Life Profile (LQOLP) has been used in various countries. Th
e aim of this study is to validate the french version of the LQOLP. Results
indicate a reasonably short time of interview, a high rate of reliable ans
wers, and a good test-retest reliability. internal consistency is satisfyin
g for measures of global well-being psychological well-being as well as for
the 9 domains of subjective quality of life covered by this scale. Constru
ct validity is supported by correlations between these measures. Results in
term of criterion validity and inter-rater reliability are acceptable. The
se results indicate that the LQOLP does possess satisfying practical and ps
ychometrical properties.
